These socks are grown, milled and made in the US with Montana and North Carolina sourced merino wool.
What is so special about merino? It is considered the silk of wools. Boasting a finer hair strand than most commercially available wools that you may find itchy, merino is different. It is lightweight, soft, insulating when wet and naturally antimicrobial and SO soft. If you've found wool to be historically rough and itchy, give merino a try. You'll never go back!

I'm a maker by default and a designer by my own will and come from a family of hard working creatives, innovators and makers.
Forage + Roam is a solution driven brand executing functional ideas and design that enhance your time outdoors.
With over 20 years of experience in high end outdoor retail, working closely with brands and their technologies, adventure guiding in Alaska, and neck deep in the snowboard industry since the early 90s, every design and finish detail of my hoods is brought to life through my own first hand experience.
Handmade in my Minnesota based studios, I hope my hoods encourage you to make time to get outdoors when conditions are less than ideal, because that is ALWAYS when the best stories are made.
